Communicate is part of the NHS
Most of the people who use Communicate services live in:

- North Yorkshire
- South Tyneside

- Teesside
We visit people further away if asked to and also do some non-NHS work, eg. for charities and the Department of Employment
Communicate "Link Therapists"
Some local NHS Speech & Language Therapists also specialise in "AAC" or communication aids. If you live in one of the areas above, your local specialist will probably be on our list of "Link Therapists". If you do not know how to contact your local specialist, we will try to put you in touch.

Communicate is approved for CAP Assessments. The Communication Matters website also has links to all BECTa CAP Contacts.
Northumberland Residents
- Northumbria Care Trust has NHS funding to provide communication aid services.
- If you live in Northumberland and you need a communication aid service equivalent to any described on this web site, please contact your local Speech & Language Therapist.
- If an equivalent service is not available, you may ask to be referred to Communicate.
